My son,6 yr, has squint . The doctor has prescribed specks and some eye exercises.Please tell meis it advisable to put on specks even while doing exercises ?.l have read somewhere that specks are all the more harmful in such cases.Please help.

What do you mean by squint?

Believe ur doctor: he has seen *your* child is eyes.

Glasses can be an absolutely essential element in the treatment of squint, strabismus.
And in the treatment of amblyopia, lazy eye.

*Which r totally separate conditions which r often present in the same pair of eyes*
You can have a lazy eye without a squint, & a squint without a lazy eye, but they do often ride shotgun for each other.
And a missing Rx in one eye or both is often a factor too.

There is no general rule that fits everyone so, once more, trust the professional who actually examined ur son.
