So this is going to sound crazy, but it is not. Whenever l put pressure on my eyes, l see what l can only describe as a glowing donut. The donut is a spectral-looking white, yellow, and blue circle within a circle. It is usually got glaring edges, but it is hazier in between the inner circle and outer circle. It looks like a fiery, round tube. It will stay right in the center of my vision, floating but stationary. It starts by fading into view in glowing blotches, then it becomes full and really inflamed, and then fades away. When this happens, l become photosensitive and l have to either close my eyes or stay in darkness.

Okay, so now that l have the description of it out of the way, it happens under two conditions. When l rub my eyes too hard or for too long, l will see it. I am guessing due to the pressure.

But also, sometimes I will just feel really weak and I will suddenly start seeing it for no reason. But I am guessing that it has to do with blood pressure or something. Or some other sort of internal pressure.

So, because it seems pressure-related, and because l show no other signs of insanity, and I've never done hallucinogens, I am sure that I am not crazy.

I've every-so-often seen this glowing donut since l can remember, and I am 30 years old, so I am pretty sure that it is not going to turn me blind or kill me.

So what is the glowing donut and what causes it? Any sort of medical condition? Any clues as to what it is or how to stop it? Any information would be great.

Do other people experience this? Has anyone ever heard of anyone experiencing this?

Also, l feel no pain when it happens.

It sounds like you might have ocular migraines. It is possible to have them with no pain, just the visual effects. Google them and see if you can find your symptoms.

You also sound like you might have a bit of low blood pressure- does the weak feeling happen when you stand up or sit up from a lying down position? If so this is your body adjusting to the position change.
