l went and saw my vision therapist because my eyes do not seem to be working well together. He told me that my visual acuity has dropped and that it could affect my eye teaming. Is this true? He is having me use an eye patch and a lens and doing some reading while switching with the lens and without the lens. Is this going to help?

It is possible, my eyes dont team together at all. l have a small spot of vision in my left eye that is very very bad and it appears like almost magnified and then my left eye has some vision but they do not work together. The vision in my left eye is also coming from the side. It is hard to explain but my right eye is where all of my vision is and the left eye is kinda just there being a nuisance.

Patching is most successful in children eight years old & younger. l can not tell from ur question how old u are. If ur visual acuity dropped, perhaps u need a dilated eye exam to see if u have a need for glasses (or contacts). If u have a prescription & wear it & ur vision improves, the patching is not going to help.

l think u should see an ophthalmologist for a complete exam. They can measure if ur eyes r working together with a depth perception test & measure the alignment of ur eyes.
