What will happen is that they wo not fill the order because you do not have a prescription for them.

They, by law, have to check with your Dr. to make sure that brand and size was prescribed.

With toric lenses especially, they definately have to be tried on first to make sure they even fit, even if the size is identical, the different material can make them fit and rotate very differently.

How do you know yours is 8.7? Do you have a prescription? If you do, call the doctor to make sure the brand AND BC for the ones you have and the ones you want are the same. Different brands have different BC. If you do not have an Rx, you can not order them.

Honestly, the base curve is such a small difference it probably will be okay. The first answer was right though - the prescription might not be filled. l would recommend just ordering some through ur optometrist - they will be able to tell u which lenses will fit ur eyes without getting u a new exam.

Basically, the base curve is just the shape of the lens. People have different shaped corneas, making it necessary for contacts to be shaped differently to fit on their eyes. That is why there r different kinds. They range from about 8.3-9.0 in disposable lenses, so the .1 difference would not make a big difference.
