l put them in at around 7am and take them out around 10pm. l change my solution regularly, whats going on?

u need to reduce ur wearing time of ur lenses!!! if u need to keep them in for long periods of time, try using some comfort wetting drops while wearing ur lenses (make sure the drops can be used while wearing ur lenses, best to get them from an opticians) u should also go to ur optician & try using a different type of contact lens, the higher the water content the better as u can wear them for longer. if ur eyes r dry at all this will most definatly reduce that 'bloodshot' look!

It sounds like u have kept them in too long. The blood is rushing to replentish the cornea area which has been restricted from oxygen due to the contact.

Just because u had them in for 15 hours doens't really mean u did not have them in too long as it varies from individual to individual & how EACH individual reacts.

It could also be they r old contacts & not as oxygen permeable as when u first put them in. l sometimes have this problem as l have extended wear & sometimes forget to change them in two weeks.

Your eyes are not getting enough oxygen. If they are only for daily wear, they should be wore up to 14 hours and no more. Put on your glasses after that, or talk to your optometrist about continuous wear lenses that you can wear even during sleep. These are made to provide more oxygen to the eye and are usually worn for 2 weeks or 1 month straight.
