How long can you store contact lenses

Ive have a pair of stored contact lenses that have been stored in solution for maybe over 2 months, do you think its safe to wear them again?

l once wore lenses that were kept for over 3 months. l just wahed my hands with solution, and rubbed them thoroughly with more solution. nothing happened. it was almost a year ago and l can see :)

The sterility of any contact lens solution cannot be guaranteed after 30 days---this means you could have harmful bacterial growing on your lens and/or case after longer than 30days that can cause serious damage even blindness. Best bet is to clean your case out--protocol recommends a new case every 2-3 months and then re-disinfect your lenses using fresh solution.
