l tried telling her that l cant see faraway stuff , and her and my dad was all yelling at me and blaming it on me that l play too much video games . so what is a different way of telling her ?

tell them you can not see the board in school.

Have the school nurse examine your eyes and call your parents with the results.

one way would be if one of them ware glasses ask if they played too many video games. Most likely they did not seeing how the are probably too old to have had video games growing up.

or explain to them that it is a safety concern that you might not be see a car coming down the road before you cross and that glasses would help that.

hi. l think that u just do not have very good eyes. its not ur fault at all & its not the video games, u r just unlucky that u cant see things far away. what u need to do is ask ur parents if they will sit down with u so u can discuss it. once u have all sat down tell them that its not the video games, keep talking about all of ur seeing problems that u have been having lately. they will understand & hopefully take u to a eye doctor. l hope u u can start to see better once u get glasses. good luck with it. l hope l helped you.

Do u have any relatives that wear glasses for seeing in the distance? If so, tell them that u can not see things in the distance & then they will be like yeah that is why l got glasses. Then ask for their help in convincing ur parents that u need glasses.

In actual fact, we do not really know what causes myopia (can not see things in the distance without glasses), there r of course theories, & none of them say 'playing video games' does. So, try looking up in google on what causes myopia / short sightedness & show this to ur parents that playing video games is not there. If they do not believe the rubbish on the internet try looking up medical journal articles such as 'Sydney Myopia Study' - I've read this it talks about ethnicity & near work (such as reading, studying) as being possibilities.

Or when you're sick & r at ur family doctor / GP (general practitioner) u can try & slip in that u can not see the board at school & they should have a vision chart & they can determine if u have 'normal' vision.

Nonetheless, u can just tell ur parents, look if the video games really were the culprit, the damage is done. Even if u were to stop playing video games ur eyes r not going to get better, so they need to take u to the optometrist to get ur eyes tested before it starts affecting ur school work. And u better add in something like it is not like u can play outside because it is dangerous & from what you've read online u can not read books / study because that will make ur eyes need glasses.

u can show the result by eyes testing in optical shop n the explaination by an optician.
