l have had grey rings around my eyes as long as l can remember, and my mother and my 11 month old daughter has them as well. (I am 21)
Someone told me today that it is from having a high concentration of metal in our bodies.
Is this true, or is it genetic?

It is genetic. It is mostly common amongst the elderly, when hair loses pigment, the eyes do too. it is called arcus. Some people are born with grey hair, as a birthmark, some are born with arcus.

Whatever it is, your eyes are still very pretty (or whoever those eyes belong to).

It does not necessarily have anything to do with age, unless you did not start out with it. It is called a corneal arcus, but it is simply increased pigmentation at the edge of an iris. It is genetic. If you have it, it is usually more noticeable in people with pale colored eyes.

l have that too.its just that l have hazel eyes.its genetic. usually people with lighter eyes have them.
