My mom said that the Regular Surgery has better results. How about Lasik? For How long do the results usually last for?
Any success//bad stories about either method?

Regular is a dude with a blade in his hand. Lasik is a precise machine controlled laser.
Lasik gives more consistent results, regular can be very hit or miss. all l can say is do not cheap out

Lasik is very effective, but can be expensive.

Id say neither one.go for orthokeratology (or orthoK contacts)
theyre contacts you put in before u sleep and overnight they reshape your eye. take them out in the morning and you can see. so theres no risk like there is with surgery.too many problems with it still

l had lasik 3 weeks ago & absolutely happy with it. l went from -6.5 prescription to seeing without glasses.

When l decided to have it & was telling people, it seemed to me that everybody knows somebody who had it & everybody was really positive.

You can not really say about how long results last for. One of the conditions is that ur vision has been stable for some years but ur eyes r always changing a little. My boss said his wife had lasik 10 years ago & she is really happy with it. He said just recently she started to need glasses again but only a very weak prescription & she does not have to wear them all the time, only when driving.

That said, it still is surgery. Your eyes will hurt for a few hours after wards & ur vision might be blurry off & on for a couple of weeks & ur eyes probably will be dry for a few weeks. But if u r interested, have a consultation & see if u r a candidate & what kind of money it would cost you.

l do not really know what u mean with regular surgery though, u mean guy cutting with a blade? l can not imagine that is a better way. Where does ur mom get this info from?

As for results, the place l went to guaranteed 20/20 vision or my money back so that is pretty good for results. They did say though that because l had a strong prescription that l might need a touch up to get 20/20 & that one would be free & if l still do not have 20/20 l get the money back for the whole thing. l am pretty happy though & if l do not have 20/20 already, l am very close. l see well enough for everything l have to do.
