Neither of these treatments will be offered to anyone who is under 18 years old. There is no formal upper age limit, but some clinics/surgeons set their own.

In general u have to be 18 before surgery. l say ''generally'' because some surgeons specify u must be legally an adult in ur home country. You also have to have been living full-time 24/7/365 in ur identified gender for at least one year. You also have to have been on HRT for at least 6 months. Lastly u need 2 letters of reccomendation (one from a therapist & one from a PhD or psychiatrist). It is all in the SOC.

For Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) u have to be a minimum of 16 according to the SOC. However, ''blockers'' can be started earlier.
