Ever since l was a kid, I've had poor eyesight, recently l went to specsavers to enquire about contacts, l am suited for them, and passed all the tests, but apparently my eyes are shaped like a rugby ball (not really sure what that mens.) Skip forward today, l went for a 'teach'... l could not get the dam thing in for the life of me, as soon as anything comes near my eye, l flinch... I've always been scared of anything coming into contact with my eyes. So, how should l go about putting contacts in? The recommended method just work it all, l just closed my eyes straight away/

l hold my eye open with one hand, look left, put the lense on the right side, look right, let the lense go, look around then blink..

your fear will never go after fixing lenses and secondly lenses is danger near fire because lens l made of plastic. expencive way is to go for lasor opperation which will be in one minute without pain

putting a contact lense in is so much easier than it really sounds! what l do- l pull the bottom of my eye down & just look straight into a mirror, & with ur other finger of the hand that the contact is in- u just put it on ur eye. its really easy.
another good technique is pulling both sides of the eye- up & down. u can look down or up or to any side. it will be a breeze once you've got it right! l was always scared to put ANYTHING in my eye- l couldnt even touch it with a finger! but contacts r SO much easier than they look!

well what l did is someone at the eye doctors put them in for me & trust me l backed my head away but she did something l wouldnt have been able to do if it was me doing it she kept going so ask someone u no to put ur lenses in l know it sounds a little childish but it should work.now for my daily use of putting them in & taking them out l use my pointer finger & use the same hand(if im putting my left contact in l use my left hand & vice versa)i put my other hand over my hand andhold my top eye lid open l look up (so l cant see it coming) & bring the contact in from the side.hope this helps if not call ur eye doctor they might be able to tell u over the phone or might tell u to come in!:)
