when l was younger l would sneeze and see stars in my vision for a few seconds after... this morning l woke up and l rubbed my eyes with my fists and afterwards l saw stars floating in my vision. Is this bad? should l be in absolute panic???

l would get the stars after sneezing when l was around 10-12 or so, now I am 22, and l had an MRl of the brain that came back normal earlier this year.
ok so its normal when a person has a concussion, but is it normal normal, like not indicative of any problems whatsoever?

its ttly normal. Also dots are normal. Thats why in cartoons like tom and jerry when someone would get hit or fall they would see stars or chickens b/c it is based off of real human reaction.

l would guess it has something to do with ur vestibular system. The vestibular system has to do with balance. Peps & animals have water & hair like structures in their ears. Movement (especially rapid or sudden movement) causes the water to shift & trigger the hairlike structures to send signals to the brain, which send signals to the eyes & limbs aimed at restoring ur balance & sense of place in the world. Yet, before ur vision, etc is set straight by the brain, things can get a little wierd (think about how u would feel for a period of time after spinning around in circles- ur vision & sense of place gets messed up for a while). So.. that is my guess. Google/ look into the functions of the vestibular system & a condition called ''vertigo''

Could be vitreous floaters, normal w/ aging. If it is just stars when eyes closed or after pressure applied to eyes, just fun w/ the optic nerve. You can get a visual field test to test the integrity of the optic nerve. If floaters, you'd probably notice all the time especially when u look upwards. If floaters & came on suddenly get a dilated eye exam, worst case scenario retinal detachment. So, do not panic. No need. Go to Optometrist or Opthamologist, explain symptoms, have eyes dilated & take visual field test. Most Optometrists can dilate when requested 9or if see something that needs a better look) & some have VFT machine in office, just call & find out. But do not panic.
