ok sometimes when l cry my eyes do not hurt at all, other times l feel like l could just claw them out cuz they sting sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo... bad! is this normal? l went to the doctore about 3 yrs ago for dry eyes and an infection. he said to keep my eyes clean(infections) l should use a qtip and johnson is baby shampoo, but l stopped doing that cuz after a while b/c the shampoo would sting my eyes(even though the company say it doesn't!liars) l did not really say anything to him about it, cuz l thought it was normal to sting a little; then after l stopped seeing him and was still using that stuff it hurt more so l do not use it now.

Sounds like what happens when l cry with my contacts in. l think you should see a different doctor cos this one sounds like a crock.

im only a kid but this happened to me before. You may have dry eye and should get refreshing eye drops it helped me and im fine now.

do not use the shampoo. do not know why he told you to use it because antibiotics would kill the infection. try washing your eyes by dropping in a saline solution once or twice a day.

l think you might need glasses..
You dont eat carrots do you? Eat carrots, and lots of them.

You have probably become allergic to one of the ingredients. l do not understand why the doctor recommended you to use shampoo instead of contact lens water. It is specially made to cleans and desinfects your lenses, but you can use it for your eyes as well.

Important:
If you do go to the apothecary, then ask for lens water for SOFT lenses.

It sounds like severe dry eyes. If u use artificial tears frequently, 6 times a day, it should help greatly. Now the eye can only hold 1/2 a drop of liquid so it is only necessary to put one. any more would be a waste. The shampoo was for the debris in ur eyelids. that can clog ur glands & cause tear production to decrease.

l always recommend to my patients to use vaseline. At night before bed get ur eye area wet & with ur finger dip it in to the jar & put it into ur lower lashes & blink it will get into the upper. Do not worry if it gets in ur eye it will not hurt just makes it blurry thats why u should do it before bed. Then in the morning with a warm wash cloth wipe away starting at the inner corner out. This is to clean the debris off. The remaining vaseline will help keep moisture in ur eye through out the day as well.
