l just got them, and l do not mind them.l think they are pretty cute but I am just afraid of what my friends and family will say.Will they be shocked because even though ive had trouble seeing l did not really tell anyone about it.I am going into high school and I am just sort of scared.
I am nearsighted but l do not wanna wear them all the time, even though l should because l just wanna be normal and l do not wanna forget them at school and etc.What will others think?

They wo not think about it nearly as much as you do. Mostly, it wo not make much difference to them.

Others will think that you have glasses.

l had glasses all through h.s. all 4 years and parts of middle school. l wore them everyday. now that l am going into college, l decided to get contacts. l do feel better with contacts. but l remember, it is just kinda normal to wear glasses. l mean. a lot of people wear them. they wo not think about you differently at all. so no worries. consider contacts if glasses bother you.

what others think does not amount to a hill of beans, the important thing is being able to see correctly. can you possibly still be so immature as to think that the opinions of others are more important than your own good health?

if you only wear them sometimes AND they are cute it doesnt really matter

l have had glasses all my life l am 17 l still have them my friends like them many people pick on me for them but not my friends so it do not matter what any one else thinks is what you think

some people look really good in glasses..and glasses are normal so many people are wearing glasses even the ones that dont really need em they wear em for fashion

uhh everyone will be fine with them!! eventually every one will get used to them. and if u still dont like them aftter a while then get contacts

you really have no need to worry :) my friend got glasses and l was surprised at first but then l got really used to it ! she didnt look bad either l think they really suited her !

i bet your friends will like them and eventually itl seem wierd when you dont wear them ! they just take getting used to !

It is kind of funny, but people who wear glasses are seen as being smart. Just wear them with confidence and be yourself and you will be A'ok!

Girls look extra cute with glasses on. You should not hide your sight problem just because it would affect your friend is perception on you.

They would accept you the way you are. With or without specs.

Do not worry, glasses can definitely look cute! l got glasses in 8th grade and did not have any problems at all. l started wearing contacts when l started college for convenience is sake (since l live in a cold climate and l hated coming in from a freezing cold day and having my glasses fog up ! haha) but still really like glasses. l say rock 'em!

Well, l remember when l got my glasses & l thought they were the coolest thing in the world!!! l was just in the 3rd grade but hey;; l dont mind people with glasses. u should not be afraud if what other people think, it is how u feel about yourself. & if u think they're pretty cute then they're COOTE:) if people think they're not do not pay attention to them. Just think of them of Jealous, Haters who do not got what u got.

Glasses r more common now than ever. You should not worry about a thing at all. If u need them- u can not help it. A lot of glasses these days r more stylish, so A LOT of people r getting them- Even if they do not have bad vision. Do not worry about it!!

If you're nearsighted- u should wear them all the time. l am also nearsighted, & if u do not wear ur glasses all the time it can cause ur vision to worsen.

Another option, (after u have ur glasses for a while), is to check on contacts. You may want to try them out & see which one u like better.. But, insurances wo not cover contacts- they will glasses though..

Who cares what anyone else thinks. the ONLY thing that maters is what YOU think.. if otehrs have comments.. that is just the way it is. do not let anyone get to you. just tell them YOU are happy with them and that should end any comments.

Since you're going into high school, l do not think many people will tease u for wearing glasses,most of the teasing of people with glasses phase goes away. l am sure people will be surprised u need glasses, l know my friends were when l got mine.Do not be scared to wear them, l am sure if u like them,others will,too!If ur doctor has told u that u need to wear them all the time,you probably should,there is nothing wrong with that at all.And if u do not need them all the time,just remember to put them in their proper case.Just do not worry about what others will think,if u wear ur glasses proudly,people will notice that & not tease you,if they do,they're just jealous because they do not have cool glasses like you!

Trust me, glasses r in nowadays especially with teens. l work at several optical places & teens r always coming asking about glasses & colored contact lenses. But they r not just asking about any kind of glasses, they r asking for plano lenses (non-prescription lenses) because they do not need glasses, but they still want to wear glasses.

It is the in thing to do apparently. Besides, be happy about yourself. A pair of glasses do not change or make who u are. It is a part of u now so work it down the runway. ^_^
