l am going to get an appointment for contacts today, and l am 13. l was wondering 1) if pearlvision tries to rip people off because l heard that lenscrafters rips people off. 2) i've heard that often people get suggestions about which eye doctor 2 go to and so l wanna know if by doctor my parents should call my pediatrician or their general practitioner 3) anyone know about any discounts l can use (i already know about the coupons for aaa members, but we also have blue cross so r there any discounts for that) 4)how long does it take for the doctor to supply u with the trial pair of contacts 5) do they teach you how to put in contacts/select the right contacts right after the checkup or do u have to wait for the contacts to come in? 10 pts for the most detailed information

1) Pearl Vision and Lenscrappers both suck. They typically do quicky 5 minute exams. You get what you pay for.

2) Go to a private practice eye doctor, not some schlocktometrist in the mall.

3) If you have a vision plan, then it would be cheaper for you. l doubt blue cross will cover any of your exam.

4) You usually get your trial the day of the exam

5) l always do it the day of the exam.
