this happened today of all days 9-11-08...go figure. l was at my boyfriends house and we ate crown fried chicken and shorty after we took a nap for a little bit, but we had a bunch of complications inbetween.... the dog kept barking, the phone kept ringing for the both of us. Each time i will open my eyes to see whats happening, or to speak to my friends that called real quick. Getting to the point now... l wake up hot and open my eyes to see how dark it is outside and l start tearing up a storm! l could not control myself. l was not really crying it was just unstoppable. l wipe and wipe first with my hands b.c that is all l had to use at first. Then l had a few tissues. l go to the bathroom and my left eye is all pink. Not sure if l rubbed to hard or whatnot but once l got home the color faded. l put visine tears on ironically, but that is all l have in my possession. Theres an uncomfortable sensitive feeling now and I am not to sure what the cause is. Any advice?
thanks for your help so far. The redness or pinkness left when l got home. It is just really sensitive and the light does not help. I will see in the morning if it gets better or worse. I am just hoping it is not pink eye. All l did was nap or attempt to :-(

Maybe take an allergy pill? If you wake up in the morning with your eyelids stuck together with goopy stuff that is pink eye. Good luck.

pink eye will have a lot of dry mucus forming outside of the eye. l think you need to see a doctor to see what got in your eyes to cause it. seems to be a poison, but l am no expert l had pink eye before, eye wash will help flush out the eye

You could actually have something called pink eye. Pink eye (also known as conjunctivitis) is when your eye is red, irritated and watery.Have a look at the link below and see if it is similar to the problem you have. If it is no better by tomorrow l would go to the doctor as you will probably need eye drops to clear it up. Xx
