I'd probably lay off makeup for a couple of days because there are some chemicals that can induce more infection to your eyes, but no fungus wont be made, but under certain circumstances. Why do not you try liquid eyeliner instead of pencil, its easier to put on once you get used to it and it does not smear. Try avoiding sleeping with makeup.

l would lay off the make-up for a few days, because you do not want the infection to come back. Also, if you put eyeliner on your inner rims (between your eyelashes and your eye), you should seriously consider not doing that anymore because it can cause major irritation.

You have now contaminated your sharpener too! You must throw away all eye make-up and contacts if you want to rid yourself of the infection. This includes your contact lens case too.

You did not mention what ur doctor told u to do. If he said to lay off the makeup, & not wear ur lenses for a few days or something, then DO that. Your health is more important than vanity. If it was bad enough to see a doctor, it was probably more serious than just itchy redness or something. Did he give u any kind of ointment or medicated drops to use? If so, u should not wear ur contacts while using anything like that. Also, like starfish said, u should definitely not use eyeliner on the inner rim of ur eye, whether u wear contacts or not. It can cause a lot of problems. And, it actually has the opposite effect from that which you're probably looking for by wearing eyeliner. It makes ur eyes look smaller, not larger/more dramatic.

Dump all ur eye makeup.

It is now likely to be contaminated & a *source* of infection.

Contacts should not be worn. Apart from the risk of of contaminating them, (and if disposable or planned replacement, the current ones should be dumped, along with the case, if u have a spare. Otherwise the lenses & case should be carefully cleaned an disinfected.) wearing contacts slows down the eye is healing rate due to the lower oygen supply, & increases the risk of futher infections.
Yes, including the really nasty but relatively rare fungal ones.

Your eye is nothing like normal after a day.
You r being wildly optimistic, & showing a preference for appearance over health.

Sadly you're not alone in that.
