It is not like it is a huge difference but I've noticed it. And l really do not like it because it makes one of my eyes seem smaller and the other bigger.
So is there anything l can do to stop the eyelid from drooping other than surgery? I am only 15 and l would like to know if there is anything my eye doctor could give me, or if l should go visit him and tell him about my problem. Could l put a paper over my normal eye, and just see with my right one? Because l also have like a -.25 on my drooping eyelid eye (right). I am nearsighted (myope), so maybe l just need to regain strength in my right eye? Could l put a paper over my normal eye, and just see with my right one? The condition of drooping eyelids is called ptosis. It can be inherited or it can be caused by a weak levator muscle. The only way to correct it is with surgury. If it becomes severe it can interfere with a persons vision. If you only have a slight droop l doubt your doctor would do surgery, but if it continues to get worse that may be your only option. Good luck.

If your right eye is nearsighted, using it more will not make it better. Actually, not wearing glasses when you need them could make your nearsightedness worse, but at -.25, you're fine without glasses. You should talk to your doctor/optometrist about your drooping eyelid.

My niece was born with a drooping eyelid, the only thing that corrects the problem is surgery. This is due to a muscle in the eye that is either not connected right or is weak. The procedure is not all that bad, the just reconnect if the muscle is torn away form the upper part of the eyelid and if it is a weak they will replace it or try to tighten it up by shortening it. There is nothing really that a doctor can you give to help and he will also probably suggest surgery.

Just like most people are either right or left hand dominant, people also have a dominant eye. Your ''drooping'' eyelid is probably the effect of this. Most people is body is are not truly symmetrical and your eyelid is probably not even noticeable to the average glance. l would suggest forgetting about the whole thing, as the less you think about it the less you will notice it. Putting a piece of paper over 1 eye could possibly worsen the condition.
