It depends on your cleaning habits. If you take care of your contacts, such as sterilization nightly and washing your hands before you take them out and put them in, you should be alright.

Although if you're asking if contacts that are a year old are good, my guess would be no. Your question is not very clear.

l am assuming that u r referring to contact lenses u have not taken out of the packaging yet, & not ones you've worn for a year (as this is impossible with most disposable lenses). In all likelihood, the lenses r fine. If u put them in & they r not uncomfortable they should be okay to use.

l would double check to make sure the packaging has remained tightly sealed so that nothing could have gotten in, but that is the only thing I'd be wary of. I've worn disposable lenses that were past their expiration date without problems in the past, & my ophthalmologist says there is not any reason to worry.

if you use contacts regularly you will know when something is not quite right as soon as you put it in your eye.try them, if they feel dodgy, throw them out
