l have an eye condition, Pellucid marginal degeneration,that requires hard contacts for treatment.

l had hard contacts when l was in college, about 30 years ago. you build up to wearing them gradually, about a half hour at a time at first. l think it took 2 or 3 weeks til l could wear them full time. even then, it was just a few hours during the day. l hope they help your condition.

Two years.

l have hard contact lenses which l got about a month ago & l only wear them at night because l am undergoing a process called orthokeratology. So far I've already found that l am becoming more used to them. l used to wear soft contact lenses & l can tell u that hard ones r heaps harder to wear initially, but over time l can already tell that l will get used to them.
Being able to see everyday is a good enough reason for me to put up with the minor irritation for now =)
