are contacts offered with every type of vision? because I have really really poor vision and I want contacts?

Fitting of contacts is something that is more complicated than just the strength of your prescription. They take a lot of other things into consideration. The best thing to do is to go and have your eye doctor do a contact lense exam and let you know if you are a good candidate or not. You might be surprised.

Contacts are available for all types of nearsightedness and farsightedness. For high ranges of nearsightedness and farsightedness, custom made lenses may be required. Contacts are also available for low, moderate and high regular astigmatism. Some people do not like astigmatic soft contact lenses due to the rotation of the lens, which causes blurry vision. These people, and people with irregular corneas, may prefer a rigid gas permeable lens.
