It can sometimes screw up your vision and you might need surgery. Most times they're just hard to get out, but you need to take them out right away.

Your eyes dry out. It is just really bad for you, if you do that

They get really dry, and l would not recommend it because, sometimes, your eyes roll in your sleep, and its just not a good time.

It is not a big deal. Your eyes might be a little dry in the morning, but l think that that is pretty much it. l sometimes sleep with my contacts in weeks on end. The fact that contacts are gentle enough for you to put on your eyeballs in the first place means that they wo not do too much damage. It will just be like staying up with 24 hours while keeping your contacts in.

nothing l slept with contacts for like 6 days straight! its just REALLY dry in the morning so you need to lubricate it with visine etc. l did that for a year and next year l checked my vision and it stayed the same so its not that bad for you !

nothing. absolutely nothing. I've had so many different brands and none of the medical bullcrap happened. Sometimes they might fall out and your eyes will be dry in the morning- blink a lot or put in eye drops. But maybe switch to Night and Day contacts. you can have them in for 1-2 months straight. never need to take them out unless they are irritating you. l have them now, they are fantastic!!!

Over time, your eyesight will deteriorate. Your eyes need oxygen.
You might wake up with red eyes.
Your contacts may be dirty or dry. It is best to keep them in clean saline when not in use.
Your eyes may become irritated when wearing contacts in the future.

l wear contacts, and if l fall asleep with them in, they get kind of filmy when l wake up. It is healthier to take them out before you sleep, so you can let your eyes 'breathe' But if you want to sleep with them in sometimes, then l suggest asking your eye doctor for the kind that you can keep in for long periods of time; l think that they are thinner than your average contacts and more breathable. :-)

danger for eyes
In a national survey, almost half of contact lens wearers said they would like to be able to wear their contact lenses overnight. More than two-thirds said they would do so if their eye-doctor gave them the go-ahead. Many people have dozed off in their contact lenses, & having failed to suffer any drastic consequences, may be emboldened to do so more often. But is it safe to sleep in ur contacts? The answer generally is no – not unless u r wearing lenses specifically approved for overnight wear & r wearing them to the schedule prescribed by ur eye-doctor. The fact that u might get away with an occasional nap in ur lenses by no means guarantees u will be able to sleep routinely in ur lenses without consequences. The fundamental problem is that contact lenses restrict the flow of oxygen to the surface of ur eye (the cornea), & the longer u wear the lenses, the longer the flow of oxygen is restricted. In extreme cases of over-wearing lenses, new veins grow out into the cornea as the body attempts to correct for the oxygen deficit.

So if u want to sleep in ur lenses, u should start by telling ur eye-doctor, & asking her to prescribe a suitable lens. So what lenses r approved for overnight wear? Many of the new silicone hydrogels r approved, including the Focus Night & Day, which is the only lens approved for a full 30-days of wear. There r also numerous conventional (hema) soft lenses that r approved for up to 7 days of extended wear – all of the major manufacturers offer such lenses. Check with ur doctor, perhaps u r already wearing such a lens

My eyes dry out and it is excrutiatingly painful to try to open them. l have to use eye drops to try to wet them again so they do not stick to my eyeballs.
