l have one and l kept going back to hospital to have these special eye drops to help it l guess. Then after a few years they said you do not have to come anymore, that I will 'grow out of it'. But l read it could get worse when I am older...l just wanna be sure...can you? thanks :)

It the doctors told you that you will grow out of it, then you probably will. What you might find kind of interesting is that Aaliyah had a bit of lazy eye and Beyonce has a bit of it.

l went to school with a girl who had a lazy eye and she did not grow out of it. It depends on how bad your lazy eye is, just make sure you do not rely to heavily on your good eye or else your lazy eye may get worse. l am sure if the doctors have said that you will grow out of it they must have confidence.

er NO you cant grow out of a lazy eye. its a weakness in the muscles around the eye that causes it. you cant ''grow out of it''. ive never heard of putting drops in to help or fix a lazy eye :S drops in your eye last a very short length of time too as your constantly blinking
patching or an operation is the ONLY way to fix it, get yourself back to the doctor and tell them that you want your lazy eye fixing.

l know a girl who had a surgery to correct her lazy eye and it is phenomenal the difference it has made. Surgery is a last option but if you do not grow out of it then there are other options. My mom and dad developed a bit of it in later life and if l do then l will opt for the surgery.
