If you have a lazy eye it will make no differece to your vision.

My friend just had it done and he said the worse bit was when they cut the flap in the eyeball...apart from that he said he had no pain after at all and can see very well now. x

ive had real eye surgery where they took my cut a nerve behind my eye and put stitches in it and it wasnt very painful. it just made my eyes a little sore

You need to do ur research before u sign up for this, & that means hard facts, not just personal opinion. A little googling can give u a lot of solid information - just look for sites that r not trying to sell u on something.

No matter what the commercials says, laser eye surgery is still surgery, & should be treated as such. Would u have heart bypass surgery at the mall or by whoever offered u the best financing? Of course not - you'd go to the best doctor at the best hospital. The same for ur eyes - ur vision is nothing to take risks with. It is worth investing in the best, not the cheapest.

The biggest lie I've heard: ''you will be able to drive home the same day!'' BS. Your vision will be weak & watery for up to a week; u will find it difficult to focus on print or TV. You can get around the house just fine, but be prepared to take some time off of work & have someone looking after you.

You also need to ask more specific questions; it is hard to write EVERYTHING about a topic in such a small space.

Are u physically active enough to justify the cost for the LASIK operation? That is, did u glasses get thrown away because it got crushed, scratches, or bent out of shape. Also if u sweat a lot & u r sick of cleaning the lenses or the glasses r lost frequently, LASIK maybe the solution.
As far as the operation, it is not painful. Just a bit discomforting. l recommend that u get the package that includes touch-up operations since u eyesight have to get corrected later.
Some negatives r halo & glare during dusk & night. Also, operation may cause some itchness & discharge. If u have no problems wearing contacts & rarely play physical sports, l would not have the surgery.
